Dammit Google!

Just like most of you, I’m a beginner in the SEO (search engine optimization) field, well more like I’m a total “n00b.” I have been practicing my SEO skills with this blog for about a week and was surprised by the results. I increased my page rank in Google in just a couple of days. If you check out my advertising section, you can see my past page rank positions on Google. I was very excited and proud of myself, gave myself a pat in the back many times. Nothing feels better than starting something new and seeing good results in less than a week.

Well, it looks like I made a “n00b” mistake recently. For some reason Google does not like the linking of advertisements, such as hosting advertisements and anything else that you can possibly make money from. Google targets blogs with paid links and penalizes if they find any, which ultimately just decreases your page rank. I had links to many advertisements, not necessarily to make money but just to fill open spots so this blog wouldn’t look so deformed. I regret that tremendously now because Google raped my page rank and penalized me for this.

I have removed the links and tried begging Google to fix this problem. I tried emailing ad sense, posting about this in the Google Webmasters Blog, and even go as far as posting in Matt Cutt’s blog, who is the head webmaster at Google. I’m not sure if this will all work, but it’s worth a try and I’m still trying to find other ways to get Google to reverse my penalty.

I am a little upset; after I found out about this yesterday I threw a tantrum and said every curse word in the book, even created some. I guess that’s more than being upset. But to be honest, just as much as I am a Microsoft fan boy, I am equally a Google fan boy, so that’s why I’m more upset at myself for not knowing this information than I am at Google. I wish there was some huge banner displayed somewhere on Google that says “DON’T LINK TO PAID ADVERTISEMENTS YOU n00bs!”

I love almost everything about Google, especially Gmail, aka God’s Mail (I was the first one to come up with that so if you see it anywhere else they copied me and want to be like me). I enjoy the funny April fool jokes that Google always makes, I enjoy Google Maps always finding the correct directions when I’m lost, I enjoy the fact that Google’s Android is going to PWN the iPhone interface, I JUST ENJOY EVERYTHING ABOUT GOOGLE OK! Don’t hate.

So I hope Google listens to my love for them and gives me back my hard earned page rank. I’m not sure what it exactly takes to get un penalized, but I will keep you guys updated if this gets fixed.
