FSR Direct Track Postback Setup

Posted on 28. Oct, 2008 by $haz in FSR, Other

I have received many questions on how to set up postback with direct track affiliates in FSRevolution, so here I will try to explain how to do that.

1) Go to Manage Affiliates > Add New Affiliate

2) Put the Affiliate Name (whatever direct track affiliate you are adding; ex: LeadExpose)

3) Put the URL for the affiliate (ex: www.leadexpose.com)

4) Check the This affiliate uses the DirectTrack system:

5) Go to Tools>Affiliate Webservices (if you don’t see this go on to the next step)

6) Fill in the Client Domain which is generally the affiliate name (ex: leadexpose), this is also available in most Affiliate Webservices

7) Fill out your Affiliate ID (which is your CD number; ex: CD1285), this is also available in most Affiliate Webservices

8 ) Fill your our Login Password (affiliate password)

9) Skip to the Postback Offer ID Name and put in “campaign_id

10) Go to the next box under called Postback User ID Name and put “client

11) Go down and add the affiliate! Congrats, you are done!

This is the format for almost all direct track affiliates such as CPAStorm, LeadExpose, AquasisMedia, etc. Remember, in FSR you still have to click the “Run Direct Track” link in order for the leads to appear, this can be done automatically with a cron job.

I hope this helps since most of you use the FSRevolution script.

Good job easydolla and thanks for the tutorial Shaz. I had been messing around on the demo of FSRevolution to figure it out but had a few mishaps along the way.

This’ll definitely be a good reference point though.

    hey Easydolla

I’ve been trying to get a word with you for the last couple of days. I saw you AIM on one of the posts so I hope you don’t mind me adding you.

You messaged me once but I was offline. I should be on AIM most of the day today so drop by for a minute.

Hey Shaz… a quick note, from one blogger to another blogger, your WordPress needs an upgrade immediately. You may want to do that. I’d suggest a plugin called WordPress Automatic Upgrade which automatically upgrades your WordPress for you :)

As always great information here. Vintacore actually offers a picture tutorial for setting up postback on any FSR script to work with Vintacore. Came in handy plenty of times.

Thanks for the tutorial, really helpful.

I have a couple of questions.

    1. Will this work for Copeac too? I can’t seem to find my affiliate ID with copeac, do I enter my username there?

    2. Can you please post a tutorial on how to do it with non-directtrack sites?

Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Hey percival2, maybe I can help you out a bit.

First off, to answer your second question, I just want you to know that Copeac IS direct track in case you weren’t aware of it. Setting up non-directtrack is not as hard neither.

Now, to find your affiliate ID… my best suggestion is to go to ANY advertiser on the Copeac network and look in the creatives field, you will see your affiliate ID in the image code.

    For example:

    <img src="http://www.cpaclicks.com/imageredirect.asp?a=XXXX&b=45726" alt="" border="0">

I’ve highlighted where the major focus is. The section that is highlighted in bold is your affiliate ID. Its the 4-digit number. Hopefully that should help you.

Thanks for helping YoungMoney06, let me know if you still can’t find the CD percival2.

As for the other affiliates, direct track is the most popular script so I posted that one for everybody. Every other script is unique within itself, which one are you specifically looking for?

Yup, only thing I have an issue with is the many people that say DirectTrack is known for shaving leads from time to time. After having a few leads “mysteriously” not show up in the past, it has definitely made me lose faith in it.

Will it NOT work? I’m not saying this, but it should definitely be considered and you should keep a close eye on the amount of leads your sending.

In either case, best of luck to you percival2.
