Quick Paypal Fraud Tip #2

Posted on 30. Oct, 2008 by $haz in General, Other, fraud

Ok going to make this short and quick since my team is playing and I am a die hard fan. Thanks to Bash and YoungMoney06 for pointing this out with my other PayPal tip, I’m not sure how I forgot to include it.

Do not pay any users via paypal if they are NOT verified.

Verified means that these users have confirmed their bank account and have added a credit card as a source for identification.  If they want PayPal, make sure they are verified. I believe FSRevolution has a way to check this so those of you who are not using FSRevolution, here is the direct link:

https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/pal=(email here)

https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/pal=asdf@ghjk.com

It also looks better to PayPal if you are only sending to verified users so they do not hold your account for too much money going in and out. I have yet to have my account held, though I know many who have. I have a business account with all my information verified.

Hope this helps! Back to my team!

    Good advice… Imma have to think of some more. ;)

    But in all seriousness, good resource with the link to verify the users for those NOT using FSRevolution. A majority of the users probably will be though.

    None-the-less, as you can see, I’m verified :D

    Yeah good tip, FSR does that. Sucks for me, because I am paying Chris to customize the script for me so that users get paid instantly when they cash out, it calls the API or IPN or whatever from my paypal account. Lol so that kinda sucks for me right?

    I mean, when you think about it , most freebie site members are kids. Kids dont have bank accounts or credit cards, unless they use there guardians account. They probably just use the paypal funds to shop online, right? If they are not verified, what could be the consequences?

    @easydolla

    Oh no, most are NOT kids. Most are between the ages of 28-50, stay at home moms or dads, and then the scammers. Most incentive websites do not allow users under 18 to even sign up.

    As for the customization, make sure you pay out after you approve their accounts. Not right when they cash out. What if they are scammers?

    Well basically its NOT required but its one more step to avoiding fraud and I’m sure if advertisers see your only sending to VERIFIED accounts, they may appreciate your attempt to avoid fraud a bit more.
