HostGator Pisses Me Off

HostGator has given me so many problems in the past it’s really starting to PISS. ME. OFF!
Every week my websites would go down and I would have to send in a ticket to have my server rebooted (before I learned to do it manually). No, I don’t have shared hosting so it’s not the problem of too much traffic slowing down the server and what not. I don’t really know what the problem is, but it is really started to irritate me.
Last night I decided to sleep early for the first time in a LONG time, so today I wake up at 8AM and have emails telling me my website is not working and it redirects to some website and what not. So I check it out and see that my domain has expired.
Well you can say it’s my fault that the domain has expired and I should know when to renew it, but all the domains I have with GoDaddy keep reminding me to renew about a month ahead of it’s expiration date. They send out emails all the time about this and even have it shown in my user panel on the website.
But HostGator is different, they don’t like to send any emails warning their customers of the expiration of their domains. They like to wake you up at 8 AM and surprise you by taking down your domain and pointing the DNS servers to a different location.
I’m going to stop using HostGator pretty soon for my hosting needs. I’m going to be looking for another hosting company and if I find a good reliable company I’ll share them with you. I know most people out there use HostGator and I don’t know about your experiences but mine have sucked so far.
Anyway, make sure to check your domain expiration dates!

Try using freehostia.com or 000webhost.com I use both and love them. Never had a problem for the past couple of years.

That sucks. It seems these days everybody is having hosting problems. Mine has awful customer service ,yet they consider themselves the best because they have all these big clients. But I blame myself for not doing any research on them before signing up. So I decided to sign up with another hosting company and this time did my research. This company was one of the best rated.
And guess what?
They never answered the phone to activate my account! or answered my emails when they showed they had help support online!
Next time I’m going to search for a local web hosting company ,and then send them tons of email to all there departments and whoever get’s back to me the fastest wins.

I honestly tried to do a google search of the best ones but they are just all just BS and want you to sign up through their links. If I find any I’ll let you know.

We stopped using HG 3 mo. into having our websites up and running. We kept having the same issues and would have to pay people to fix it for us. We got sick of it and were told about Hostmonster so we gave it a try and I will never go back. We have not had a single problem since making the change 8 months ago! And it is sooo nice not having to talk to a live person every single day trying to figure out what the issue may be to only get someone with no idea who tells me it is not their hosting but something in our script! Yes there sure is. Like I said I have not had to use it except one time to ask a Question on their affiliate program but not for technical reasons.

Shaz, i would personally recommend thiswebhost.com
Check them out, they have never failed me in the past. Have some very robust servers which can handle plenty of traffic and their support team are friendly and efficient.
This is not a plug, its simply a recommendation to help you out.

HostMonster Shaz, is the best host out there.
There a part of Blue Host so they’re not a small company.
I gotta tell you though, their customer service based from Utah, worth it. I can’t put a price for 24/7 service like that.
Only problem is, they don’t have dedicated servers if you’re looking for that, which I think you are.

Wow, you must be quite the detective! Congrats on using the great tools available on the web.
Too bad that you didn’t know I host this blog on a separate server then all my other websites. Yes this is the only website I have that’s on a shared server. Maybe you can try to be a wise ass and find that somewhere on the web so you don’t have to look stupid?

Well go for it, this blog is hosted on a super stable shared Lunar Pages server. Lunar pages also offers dedicated servers, just imagine how stable these wll be. Why look elsewhere ?

I am sorry but people who have joined hostgator for using and high traffic resource script have them self’s to blame you must read there TOS
And any hosting that says unlimited bandwidth is a scam.
Everyone please google a hosting site before using then you will not have a problem.
good hosting is rylee james, backycorp and seamlesswebsoulutions.
But the best of them all is rylee james there support is better than any hosting company you get a reply within a couple of hours. I have never known as good support from any other website not just hosting every website.
